It was maddening. Bianca de Nevada was still alive, the mirror never lied. Until the life left the girl's body, Lucrezia would never be the fairest one in the land. She had heard tales of a holy relic known as The Three eyes of God. It was a single branch from the Tree of Knowledge that had survived to the present day.
"This scion of the ancient tree, since holy times, has been covered with beaten silver. But it still bears three fruits. And they are living. They are perfect. They are Apples with an aspect of the eternal about them. They don't decay. They have never decayed in a thousand years." or so the story went. Lucrezia approached the mirror and commanded that it show her the location of the branch from the garden of eden. It grew as an ordinary branch from an ordinary tree, hidden deep within the forest by a decrepit well. There was only a single apple left and she must have it.
'Lucrezia set about with the tools of her trade to recreate, in the darkest way she could, al-iksir. Roots of mandrake, a knife with a handle made from human pelvis carved into obscene figures, a mortar and pestle for the mashing of savorless mushrooms, a drop of communion wine for perversion, an alembic, a small fire underneath it in which she fed scraps of human hair, bits of the girl's old childhood garments, a letter from her mother to her father, feathers of geese, and a live mouse. But the crucial ingredient of choice was quicksilver, crushed and refined in a crucible, then reduced into a more docile and transparent state through the private alchemy for which her family was known.'
When the poison was finished, she poured it into a glass jar and tucked it into a hidden pocket to coat the apple with later. She then set out to the forest to claim her prize that would be Bianca de Nevada's end. And then she, Lucrezia Borgia, would finally be the fairest one of all.

Thanks! :glomp: I'm still learning stuff all the time but I'm glad that you can see improvement. I guess it's cause I sit and stare them for so long that all my manips seem the same. :P It's always a help to get an outside opinion. :D
